About Love the Beat
Started as there was a lack of ethnic dance activities within the local area – not just jazz , tap and ballet but classes that celebrated diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, classes that were there to be enjoyed, where size didn’t matter. And where the taboo of dancing from certain cultures was removed so women could let their hair down and feel free.
Set up, grew phenomenally, with classes in Mill Hill, Edgware, Hendon, Barnet and Watford. Working alongside local authorities to deliver classes to women from BAME backgrounds.
Also delivered workshops in schools to teach children about Indian Dance and the culture.
Been awarded National Lottery funding to create the studio space for members of the community to use and benefit from. Taking LovetheBeat to new heights. Support us by joining our newsletter and following us on our socials. Tell your friends about us and get involved!
