Libra (Hollie Ryder) is an singer/songwriter/dancer and has an A level in music and went to a performing art college after leaving school.  She started singing seriously at the age of 8 and went to stage school but Libra had different ideas, she knew where she wanted to be and it was her passion for music that lead to record her first song at the age of 14. After recording, the producer asked her to come and work for them which gave her the knowledge of how the music industry works, she found her passion for songwriting, dancing and performing.

Libra has been described by one of the biggest Kiss 100 Radio DJ as “Star of the future and the girl to watch out for”  She was one of the 1st female garage singer to get her music reviewed in the national papers (The sun) ♡

As well as going under the name LIBRA, Hollie Ryder has also performed under the name Lady Libra back in the garage days, she has worked with most of the biggest names in garage eg… Luck and Neat, Ed Case, BM Dubs, So Solid Crew, MC DT plus many more

At just 17 she had her first record deal with her song No Reason on vinyl, signed to Excite Recordings which sold out within one month. Her second song All Up In My Business, produced and released by BM Dubs which also featured Dj Luck and Mc Neat. She has been played and supported by Kiss 100 and BBC 1 Xtra and most major stations. She also toured and performing all over the country.  LIBRA has worked with many Producers and top songwriters helping to create an urban/commerical cross over sound. Libra’s versatile has worked over many genres of music.

She has many friends in the music industry and after becoming a mum 6 years ago, her passions changed which working and helping children with their mental health wellbeing and building confidence become her number 1 mission.

She now works with children of all ages teaching dance and singing workshops and holiday clubs and she is also part of a amazing children’s charity which raises funds for children’s mental health therapy. 

Libra’s popstar academy will be full of fun, feel good classes, helping children build confidence through dance and singing, They will have the chance to perform, learn songwriting and the older children will have the opportunity to record their own music in the recording studio
